Pilotage | Pilotage is compulsory for vessels over 50m LOA although Pilotage Execption Certificates are available subject to qualifying criteria. |
Towage | The Port operates its own 600 BHP tug, the Blyth Endeavour which is available for pushing. Larger tugs are available from Svitzer Marine subject to prior notification. See specification for Blyth Endeavour. |
Foyboatmen | Foyboatmen are licensed by the Port of Blyth & services are provided by Blyth Boatmen. Foyboatmen are compulsory on inward passage for vessels over 50m LOA . |
Other Marine Craft | Pilot vessel, harbour/survey, personnel and stores transfer launch available for contracts within port limits. Workboat code certificated vessel available for bed leveling services and other external marine contracts. |
Waste | The Port provides facilities for the disposal of vessel generated waste in accordance with the Port Waste Reception Facilities Regulations 2003 & Category 1 food waste from ports outside the EU. |
Marine Fuel Bunkers | Rapid loading 15 million litre marine fuel bunkering facility operated by Geos Group is available at Bates Terminal. |
Fresh Water | Supply of fresh water is licenced by the Port of Blyth and the service are handled by Blyth Boatmen. Fresh water can be ordered through the Marine Department or by E Mail to Water@blythboatmen.co.uk |
