Health and Safety Manager

The Port of Blyth is a leading UK offshore energy support base that continues to be at the forefront in offshore wind and renewable energy.

As a modern Trust Port, we provide first-class port handling services with particular expertise in the energy, project cargo, container, dry bulk and break bulk sectors. The Port is a customer focused business that combines its wealth experience and can-do innovative approach to deliver a range of value-added services that compliment a collection of high-quality warehouses and engineering workshops.

This has resulted in a record performance for 2021 and the Port being shortlisted for the Northeast Business Award, Company of the year.

A number of significant development sites are also available around the estuary for large scale port related development, including the Bates Clean Energy Terminal.

The Role

We are looking to employ an experienced Health and Safety Manager to take over the responsibility for Health & Safety across all land side activities of the Port including our busy operations, engineering and maintenance departments, ensuring that safety is at the forefront of everything we do.

Therefore, it is anticipated that the candidate will have extensive experience of ISO management systems.

The Port operates 24/7 365 days of the year and therefore it is an expectation of the role that the candidate is full flexible with working hours.

Our business is located across four sites, so a full driving licence is essential.

In return, we are offering:
