Office Administrator

The Port of Blyth is a modern statutory Trust Port, generating revenue of £22m during 2020.

The Port provides a first-class handling service specialising in the energy, project cargo, container, dry bulk and break-bulk sectors. Heavy lift experience along with a range of value-added services compliment high quality warehousing and engineering workshops.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced office administrator to join our multi flexible team working at all of our port offices. This is a full-time permanent position as an operations administrator in a busy operations department (We will also consider part time 3 days per week).

The successful candidate will support port operations by providing excellent administrative duties including, but not limited to:

  • Office document processing (Word, excel, Destin8 etc)
  • Office assistance (filing, photocopying, record making etc)
  • Taking telephone calls, recording messages, emails

There will be an element of this job that requires training, this will be provided and will enhance a successful candidate’s skillset for the future. This position will require the successful candidate to be organised, motivated, high standards throughout and have good customer relations.

Overtime will be required to cover the needs of the business.
