Warehouse Manufacturing Apprentice

The Role

Transped is looking for an Apprentice to train in Warehouse Manufacturing. The ideal candidate must be willing and able to work flexible shift patterns during busy periods and be numerate & literate.

Key skills and duties in which you will be trained (as a minimum) are as follows:

  • Design and manufacture packaging cases
  • Record dispatch notes, receipts and stock information
  • Licence to drive Forklift trucks
  • Load/unload vehicles
  • Operate timber cutting machinery and bench tools
  • Awareness of health & safety legislation

With the Apprenticeship in Warehouse Manufacturing, you will be undertaking a formal qualification. Your Tutor / Assessor will take you through your training and once your course is completed, you will have gained as a minimum, Level 2 qualification.

Remuneration

37.5 hours per week, £6.85 per hour

About Transped

Transped Limited is a subsidiary company of the Port of Blyth. Established in 1997, Transped offers a one-stop shop service to organisations wishing to move goods between Europe and the UK, with the company running a twice-weekly container line between the UK and the Netherlands alongside complementary warehousing and distribution services.

Key operations from Blyth include the handling of warehoused goods and the daily distribution of cargo to all destinations with a focus on Scotland and the north of England as well as specialist services related to customs and excise procedures.
