South harbour terminal

The Port of Blyth’s South Harbour terminal is utilised for offshore energy and project related cargo and container movements. It is home to some of the offshore energy sector’s leading companies and has been the location for some of the Port’s major projects, lifts and operations in recent years.

Features

The fully ISPS protected terminal is served by two berths, both strengthened for heavy lift operations and offering up to 8.5m LAT and a RoRo pontoon. The terminal provides 40,000 sq m of modern warehousing and 3HA of open storage.

All operational terminals at the Port benefit from a wide range of handling equipment and experience for lifting project pieces up to 600 tonne and moving pieces greater than this by RoRo and SPMTs.
