Port of Blyth will open its doors to the community of Blyth soon as the organisation’s Annual Public Meeting takes place.
Scheduled for Wednesday 26th April, the meeting is designed to give those with business and community interests in Blyth information on the performance of the port in 2016 and plans for the future.
As a Trust Port, Port of Blyth is an independent organisation – neither privately nor publicly owned, and instead serves a wide range of stakeholders including the community and routinely reinvests profits back into the company, as well as supporting numerous good causes through its community engagement programme.
As well as a presentation on the record performance of the port during 2016 and exciting plans for the coming years, the event provides residents with the opportunity to discuss any aspects of port activities with Commissioners and senior Management.
Also on show will be the winning entries of the port’s Annual Community Photography Competition from 2016 as well as a selection of previous winners.
The meeting will take place at the brand new Port Training Centre, Quay Road, NE24 3PA on Wednesday 26th April at 5pm. To attend the meeting and/or propose any questions, interested parties must register beforehand via email at comms@portofblyth.co.uk or telephone on 01670 357 000.
