The Port of Blyth is looking for a Business Administration Apprentice to join our multi flexible team working across all our terminals.
The Role
The successful candidate will learn administrative duties including, but not limited to:
- Office document processing (Word, excel, Destin8 etc.)
- Office assistance (filing, photocopying, record making etc.)
- Taking telephone calls, recording messages, emails.
- There will be an element of this job that requires training that is outside of the apprenticeship framework, this will be provided and will enhance a successful candidate’s skillset for the future.
Required Skills
This position will require the successful candidate to be organised, motivated, have high standards throughout, have good customer relations and both willing and able to work flexibly (during busy periods).
In order to fulfil your duties, you may be asked to complete other activities by your Line Manager.
Full driving license preferred but not essential; need to be able to travel as you may be required to work at our Battleship Wharf site in Cambois, Northumberland.
Remuneration
- National Minimum Wage for an apprentice + 7%
- 37.5 hours per week
- 25 days holiday + statutory holidays
