Port of Blyth has been invited to present at Decom North Sea‘s Decom Offshore 2020 this week.
The Port’s Business Development Manager Andy Williamson will make a presentation during the Waste or Not session on day two of the conference, explaining how the Port worked with partners in the offshore wind sector to reuse a modified former offshore wind turbine as a training facility in Blyth.
In a first for the UK wind industry, the Port installed the bespoke wind turbine training facility at its Bates terminal as part of a £1m investment in training provision aimed at the offshore energy sector. Click here to view a short film of the training facility being installed.
