For a Christmas Appeal this year the Port are supporting the Blyth branch of the children’s charity Barnardos who work with families throughout the local area in need of support.
At Christmas time they arrange presents for the children and young people in their care, which with the help of our staff we are delighted to be supporting this year.
Having consulted with local Barnardos staff they requested that we support teenagers who often get overlooked at this time of year.
Whilst the Port has made a cash donation to Barnardos to support their ongoing work, our staff have helped immensely by collecting together over 300 items to make up a Christmas gift bag for more than 40 young people including chocolate treats, toiletries and even a santa’s hat!
We would like to thank our staff for their generosity and support for the appeal. To learn more about Barnardos and how you can support their work, visit their website here.
Merry Christmas!
