Port of Blyth Christmas Appeal

05/12/2016

This Christmas the Port will be supporting the Blyth based charitable organisation Bliss Mediation who support families in our community that are in need of support and assistance.

At Christmas time, Bliss ensure that children and young people who may otherwise go without presents have something to open on Christmas Day. They also provide families in need with a Christmas dinner to remember by distributing donated food to families in Blyth in time for Christmas.

The Port will be donating a sizeable quantity of food and gifts to help people in our community and have asked staff to support the appeal with donations of their own.

To ensure the appeal is successful as possible, we are also asking members of the public to support us in helping those less fortunate than ourselves in the community to have a good Christmas by donating suitable items of food and gifts.

We will accepting donations of the following items up to Friday 16th December:

  • Unwanted gifts, toys, books, games for children, young people and adults
  • Non perishable food – such as tins, packets & long life items
  • Christmas related items – such as Christmas crackers and decorations

To help – simply drop off any items at the Port Training Centre on Quay Road in Blyth, adjacent to the Blyth Boathouse Restaurant and the new RLNI station. Directions can be found here.
