Maintenance Operative (Civils)

The Role:

We are looking for a reliable person with good all-round maintenance skills to join our Civils department at the Port of Blyth. You will be required to carry out a variety of maintenance tasks in and around the Port including repairs to quays, jetties and buildings.

Due to the nature of our business you will need to be flexible with a can do attitude. You will also, on occasion, be required to assist with the loading/unloading of cargos. Therefore, the successful candidate will be required to learn all aspects of Stevedoring including operating plant & equipment where required.

This is predominantly a day shift position however; you will be required to work shifts and weekends when necessary. Overtime will also be required to cover the needs of the business.

Our business is located across four sites so a full driving licence is essential.

Remuneration:

A basic salary of £30K per annum for 37.5 hours per week plus paid overtime
