Applications are invited from individuals with the relevant qualities, experience & certification to fill the position of Deputy Harbour Master / Marine Pilot.
The Role:
The Deputy Harbour Master will deputise for and assist the Harbour Master in the administration and control of all marine operations of the Port of Blyth harbour undertakings, including the supervision of marine department staff, marine safety, pilotage, and dredging operations. To act as an authorised ships Pilot as required.
A valid STCW Certificate of Competency, previous vessel command, marine pilotage and / or comprehensive ship handling experience would be advantageous.
The successful applicant will be required to undertake a probationary period as Trainee Marine Pilot, this period being subject to relevant experience and aptitude.
