The Role
We are looking to employ an experienced Electrician to join our maintenance team at the Port of Blyth.
The Port has an array of cargo handling equipment that includes FLT, Cranes & Heavy Plant; experience of working with these types of equipment both mechanically and electrically would be an advantage.
You will also be responsible for carrying out Electrical Engineering Maintenance work on all Electrical Services, Systems, Plant and Equipment (Planned and Breakdown), in addition to Electrical Installation works in accordance with current regulations.
Requirements
This is predominantly a day shift position; however, you will be required to work shifts and weekends when necessary. Overtime will also be required to cover the needs of the business.
Due to the nature of our business, you will need to be flexible with a can-do attitude. You will also be required to assist with the loading/unloading of cargos. Therefore, the successful candidates will be required to learn all aspects of Stevedoring including operating plant & equipment where required.
Our business is located across four sites, so a full driving licence is essential.
Remuneration
In return we offer an attractive remuneration package:
- Starting salary £35k. After training there are additional payments of £5k / annum – for 37.5 hours per week
