Lloyds Bank has joined forces with four companies to showcase the good things happening in British business as part of their 'by the side of business' campaign. Launched on 5 June, the campaign highlights the Port of Blyth as a leading offshore energy support base that has orchestrated great transformation in recent years. Lloyds celebrates the Port of Blyth for redefining its purpose to become the centre of a major offshore renewable energy cluster as well as demonstrating best practice in decarbonising its own activities.

PORT OF BLYTH SUPPORTS NATURE RECOVERY PROJECT – THE BIGGEST OF ITS KIND IN THE WORLD

Commissioner’s Quay at Blyth is the latest location for Groundwork North East & Cumbria’s pioneering work to improve biodiversity and water quality in the region’s rivers and estuaries.  The Port of Blyth who own and operate the Quay has played a key role in supporting the installation of a web of 57 vertically hanging artificial ‘Shelter Shells’, the biggest installation of its kind in the world.
