A brand new film to promote the North Sea Tall Ships Regatta Blyth 2016 has been launched. See Northumberland in all its glory here:
Northumberland County Council, the Port’s partner in putting on the event, commissioned TV director Stuart Ramsay and editor Nick Thorp to make the 2-minute ‘short’.
The Council approached Stuart and Nick, who both worked on the ITV series Tales From Northumberland With Robson Green, to ask them to create a short film to promote the Tall Ships Regatta, reflecting Northumberland’s history, landscape and seafaring heritage.
The film features some of the scenes filmed for that series, including spectacular drone footage of the Tall Ship Williams II, which is being renovated by the Port of Blyth funded Blyth Tall Ship project.
The North Sea Tall Ships Regatta Blyth 2016 takes place at the Port between 26th – 29th August 2016. For further information visit the official website.
