Port of Blyth has been named the winner of the Business for Good category in the Northumberland & Tyneside heat of the prestigious North East Business Awards 2026.
This recognition celebrates businesses that make a positive impact on their people, communities and the environment, and the Port is incredibly proud to have been recognised for the work we do as a Trust Port.
Being a force for good is at the heart of everything the Port does. Every pound generated is reinvested into the business to enhance our facilities and create lasting economic, social and environmental value across the North East. From supporting the UK’s clean energy transition and progressing towards our Net Zero 2040 ambitions, to developing future talent through Port Training Services and Energy Central Campus, and investing in community initiatives across our region through our community sponsorship programme, the Port is committed to creating a positive impact that extends far beyond our port operations.
Winning our sub-regional heat means the Port will now go head-to-head with the other regional winners at the North East Business Awards Grand Final on October 1st, competing for the title of the North East’s Business for Good!
